Trips —
I had some travels for the last couple weeks and I found it exhausting to make videos. I had a counselling training in Manchester. It was a 2 days event and I only managed to record my ongoing trip. I took 2 trains to Manchester and a tram to my AirBnB place. I was planning to record in the AirBnB place, but I was too exhausted. The training was good. I was very happy to see the same people I met on the previous training
My next trip was to Indonesian embassy in London. As we are looking to relocate to LA, USA, we are working on the paperwork and I noticed that my passport is expired in June this year. So I booked a passport renewal at the embassy right away.
Language Learning —
My Spanish learning is going strong! I used the travel time to do note taking from the lessons I did. I am excited every time I heard random people conversing in Spanish and I can understand what they are talking about! Also, since we are moving to California, where Spanish will be used by many, I have even greater motivation to get fluent!
In London —
I stayed in a hostel for a night. My dinner was from Itsu. I was debating between dinner at Indonesian restaurant or Itsu. But I was too lazy to walk, and Itsu was just around the corner of my hostel.
The next morning was raining. I found myself standing at the bus stop reminiscing about life in a bustling city. Somehow it energised me. I was born and grew up in Jakarta. I do miss high levels activities. Where I live now feels a little lethargic, not much to do, and people are so individualistic. British culture doesn't suit me.
Well, at least I was there in London to meet my fellow friendly and non individualistic Indonesians.
I met a new friend and went out for lunch. We enjoyed Bakso at Indonesian restaurant.
Downsizing —
Arrived back home, and continued decluttering and downsizing. I listed the piano for selling. My husband got this piano for me as a birthday present. Kinda sad to let go, but I'm content.
The fish also needed to go and we have found fish keeper to rehome them all! It was a very quick and straight forward process. Less than 12 hours they were all collected by their new owner! Thankful!
Our home feels different without the fish. But our goals for the next 2 months is to downsize.
Business Closure —
I also have to close my small business, sell all inventories and tools. At first I was very sad, but somehow I feel relieved too. I'm thankful for the last year when the Lord let me taste how it feels to run my small business. It was a great run. But it is time to let go, and I feel strongly that He wants me to focus back on ministry, with my writing, counselling, or other areas of ministry He wants me to do. I honestly do not know exactly what but I am now certain that hustling in a small business world is not what He wants me to do. So I did find it relieving that I had to close my small business. It is one of many ways the Lord provides guidance: by providing a close door, convicting heart, and I TRUST that HE will surely give clarity on what HE wants me to do.
I am trusting and resting.
